Blasts From The Past

I was in Toys R Us a couple weeks ago and I saw a package of plastic dolls that have snap on clothes that you can change. I remembered having dolls like this as a child, but I couldn't remember what they were called. Thus my online search began which then revealed many toys from the past.
I didn't take note of what the new dolls are called, but I found that Dolly Pops are what old dress up dolls were called. I found some on eBay and would actually like to get a set of them for Cameron.
Anyhow, take a ride with me on the way back machine and see how many of these toys are a blast from the past for you. Toys with '*' next to them are original toys I still have. I am sure I will think of more toys in time. There is one set of toys I am looking for that I don't know the name of. It was ice cream cones and cupcakes that opened and inside was a house and came with a little girl. I think I had these when I was around age 8 so that would be early 80's. Is that ringing a bell with anyone?

Alphie- I so remember playing with this toy as a child.
Charmkins- My great grandma made me a nightgown with the charmkins on it when I was a child. I still have it and will give it to Cameron in a few years.
Chubbles- Freaky little thing. I don't know why I had one of these.
Fashion Plates- I don't have an original but I do have the NKOTB ones. (did I say that out loud?)
Fluppy Dogs
*Furskins- My mom actually has some of these.
Hugga Bunch- I only had the baby ones.
I Took A Lickin' From A Chicken - I somewhat remember playing this game as a child.
*Koosa- Mine is yellow
*Lite Brite- I have the original
Little People
Little Professor Calculator- I never had one myself, but always wanted one.
Pogo Ball- I see they still make these
M.U.S.C.L.E Men- My brother had these stupid things
Magic Nursery Babies
Magical Musical Thing- OMG! Do you remember these? My cousin had one.
Major Morgan- I threw mine away about 11 years ago. I would love one of these for Cameron.
Mr. Men and Little Miss - I only remember these from getting books about them at Arby's.
My Buddy- You all remember the jingle I am sure.
*My Child- I will have to get this out for Cameron.
Nerfuls
Nosy Bears
Pillow People- I actually hated these things because DJ Tanner had one.
*Pocket Rockers- I have a pink and black one with like 4 tapes.
Pop Beads- My mom bought a box of these not too long ago for the grandkids to play with at her house. I will have to get some for Cameron.
Popples
Puffalumps- I had a pink dog.
Sea Wees - These were so cool.
Shirt Tales- Remember, they had shirts that said what they were thinking?
Speak And Spell- Do they still make these like the original? They were so cool!
Stuff Yer Face- I loved this game, but I can't find a picture online.
Sweet Secrets- These folded up into the bellies and you wore them as jewelery.
*Teddy Ruxpin- I have him and lots of tapes/books and clothes.
*The Animator
Waterfuls- I had a red one. I have seen small versions of these in Wal-Mart
Yum Yums

I recognize a TON of those! And I had a "My Jenny" doll instead of "MY Buddy". I still have a Popple. I made hubby agree to allow me one large tupperware with stuffed animals from my childhood, and I have a pink popple in there.

NKOTB! Say it LOUD, and say it PROUD!! My sister was so totally in love with Donnie Wahlburg (and to some extent, still is), and a couple of years ago, I found the doll on Ebay and bought it for her as a birthday present. I thought it was a gag, but she really loved it! Has it sitting prominantly on a shelf in her apartment! LOL!

I guess growing up with a house full of boys I am the odd ball out here. I don't think I had any of these. How sad!

But, Jen I was definitely a NKOTB fan and I totally loved Donnie just like your sister but of course I out grew it - LOL My best friend in high school was head over heals for Jonathon?, she even wore that black and white polk a dot shirt he was famous for.

ROFL! Jen you are too funny. I won't go into my NKOTB obsession right now, but that might make a good blog entry down the road. Hee-hee

Dawn- I would not have taken you for a NKOTB fan, not sure why though ?? :0)

I have the Donnie doll just like Jen's sister (I just wasn't ready to admit to it)and refuse to part with it - DH thinks I am a little weird and doesn't understand why I still keep it.

Melissia you might need to dedicate a whole post just for "NKOTB Memories" - LOL
