Long time readers may remember that back when Cam started kindergarden she wanted her ears pierced, so we took her to have them done. I think we may have made it through Christmas of that year and then they were out. She did not like anyone to touch them let alone take them out of her ears to put new ones in. I grew tired of the crying and fighting and made her take them out.
Lately she has been asking to have them done again. Her argument is that she is older now and can take care of them herself. I tried to talk her out of it, but she insisted she would do better with them. So she is now sporting very cute Hello Kitty earrings.
Update: It's been almost 4 weeks now and she has been doing great. She has been very responsible in cleaning them 2-3 times a day and not freaking out when someone trys to touch them. We shall see how it goes in a few weeks when she tries to change them for the first time.
