Kitty News

Oly is adjusting to our home just fine. He is really good about using his litter box and hasn't been bad about scratching at furniture. A loud clap and a shout of his name usually does the trick. I will need to pick up a scratching post probably. We learned early this morning that we need to remember to shut the toilet lids. He got his back feet a little wet this morning. LOL I bought a crate for him yesterday that we put a fleece blanket in and he took right to it. We put it in the living room with the dog so they could get better acquainted, but both be protected from one another. They did just fine that way and Oly seemed to feel pretty safe because although he hissed a little when the dog got near, he never moved back away from the crate door. We will put them together like this for short periods through out the day and see if that helps them learn to get along.

Cameron and I took him for a check up at the vet. He had a little bit of something in his stool so we have to give him a liquid medication once a day and they will check him in a few weeks when we go back for more shots. Other than that and a small herniated belly button (not sure of the exact term) he looks fine. Doc said the belly button thing was small and not a concern.

So it's going pretty good. All we need to do is get him and the dog to either be friends or learn to completely ignore each other.
