From Montgomery To Hollywood

Do you watch the Ellen show? I guess a couple weeks ago she had viewers send in tapes of their favorite local tv commercials. Someone sent in the commercial of the guy rapping for the Montgomery Flea Market (on South Blvd.)

"Montgomery. Flea Market.
It's just like, it's just like, it's just like a mini mall."

Anyhow, like most local commercials here, it is super cheesey. Apparently not to Ellen though. She liked it so much she called up the guy (who is also the owner) on her show and invited him to come on. She wants him to help her make a rap for the shows theme song. He was on the show today singing and dancing and talking about how he got started with the flea market. They even showed a picture of he outside of the store. It was kind of funny, but I can't believe Montgomery is being talked about on the Ellen show because of guy and his cheesey rap commercial - for a flea market no less.

I saw that this morning and just shook my head. I think the commercial is stupid.
